HW 5

This is a picture about NIKE's new version shoes -- Air Force. In 25 years ago, NIKE named this type of shoes -- air force, since they put a air pump in the shoe. Few years ago, they want to remake this classic shoes, especially for basketball, so they made this advertising.

From the picture we can see a lot of famous basketball players are standing in a line. They are wearing like 80's, since NIKE wants to let all the comstumers know that this is a re-make. A shinging sun is behind all the players. The sun is still rising, this probabely means that the Air Force series is not in the end, it is still prevail.

Under all the basketball players, there is a period of sentence : The second coming. That means the second version of Air Force is coming. It will better than the first version. That's all we can get from this picture. A simple, easy, advertising.

Space Jam (1996) - Trailer

I saw this movie when I was a kid, but when I saw this trailer, things are all came back. This is not a very serious film, I think even the company didn't pay much on this film. However, a lot of people like this film. From the trailer, we can see that one of the best basketball player in the world -- Micheal Jordan joined the film with all the carton characters. This is a new style of thinking that time, though we think is common today. We can't make any comments on the image quality, since it is made in 1996. We need see it from the side from people in 1996. It still looks good from the trailer, anyway, all my memories are come back after I see this trailer. I think people will have same feeling if they see this trailer.

TRUST YOUR LUST

"TRUST YOUR LUST" for me means to keep doing something that you really want. Most people have crazy dreams, and they never make them happen. Since the dreams are so crazy, they don't want to be an individual in a group of people. In another words, they don't want to be special, and all the dreams are still only the dream, no one will make them become true. One of my favorite basketball players, Allen Iverson, said: I am what I am. That totally matches what I'm saying for this. To be yourself, do what you really want and get all the things you lust is the right way for people's life. Trust the ideas from your heart, you may have a better and successful life.

As we know, herolism is a part of American Culture. From all the American movies, we can find it. No matter the hero is Superman; Spiderman or even Handcock. They are doing things by their own, they are doing the things which they think is right. However, how people know that what they are doing is right? The God in the movie " Matrix" ask the main character -- Neo a nice question: " What is real?" No one knows what is real. That could be a weak point for this slogan, since the thing you lust is not always right. It is very dangerous to believe all your lusts, because they might destory you in a slient way.

This article talks about the injury about a famous basketball player -- Elton Brand. I will use logical way to see this artical. In the artical, first the writer talks about the injury of Elton Brand and his salary, from this we can see the writer started to doubt his salary is too much. Since Elton Brand didn't show up for many times in this season, but the team still pay him a lot. And then the writer started to talk about the Sixer's problem -- only 23-24 this season, that shows Elton Brand didn't bring wins to the team. After this, we can see the writer starter to blame on him. Maybe the writer is a Sixer's fan, he don't like to see the circumstance that the team is facing. And then is a statement said by Philadelphia team president Ed Stefanski, these statements are always talk by the people who don't understand basketball, this time is also this problem. Stefanski started to say things very ironically, he says he believe Elton Brand is still a good player first, and then he says Sixers is still a playoff team. That is funny, I really don't know what he wants to show, but anyway, we still can infer that he gets angry with Elto Brand. That is all the logical illation for this article.
